Marma Balancing

This marma balancing treatment uses special points on the body considered “seats of consciousness” and energy gateways, much like the acupuncture points of Chinese medicine. It is an ancient art out of southern India and a part of a full course of study, which can span up to 12 years of training, when used for clinical treatments. Rather than a specific treatment method for any single condition, this protocol constitutes an overall energy balancing treatment for the whole body/mind. It includes almost all 107 marma points, which are gently massaged with Ayurvedic oils.

The treatment leaves the recipient feeling grounded, relaxed, and more balanced. It uses very light and subtle touch to produce long-lasting effects.

Participants will not only learn how to administer the treatment but also benefit from receiving the treatment, learning first-hand how special this fully immersive treatment experience really is.

Participants will receive a recording of the training session as well as handouts and drawings of the relevant marma points.

Learning objectives:

1. Perform a 50-minute full body marma treatment with oil
2. Understand the basic background of Ayurveda and be able to explain the treatments to clients/students
